Green Thumb

The past is beautiful like the darkness between the fireflies...

Speaking of a beautiful past, my birthday continued thru the weekend with fun get-togethers, wine tasting, and an awesome concert.

Sadly, the good times came to a screeching halt on Sunday morning though when I got hit with a massive, knock-me-off-my-feet, blurry vision, headache.  I spent most of the day in bed then finally went for a mini-hike late afternoon.

My rule for activity when I’m feeling bad is to try a little because it might actually make me feel better, if it doesn’t then I go back to bed.  Walking through the woods for an hour at a leisurely pace felt alright but you should have seen the look I gave Tate when he suggested a run-it wasn’t pretty.

The headache continues today but not nearly as intensely.  I am chugging water and nettle tea and will attempt a short workout soon.

On a brighter note, there’s a pepper as big as my thumb in the yard!  Does that equate to having a green thumb?

And my birthday clematis is in full bloom!

  2. Hooray for the green thumb! I was squealing with joy over the weekend at all of my little teeny baby green tomatoes. So cute. So delicious (in the future, of course). 🙂

  3. I occasionally get hit by migraines. Not fun. Glad you’re feeling better!

  4. Did you start your garden from seed? My peppers are still tiny! So I was wondering if you had a secret! I’m a bit further north in PA, so it’s expected, but I’m always up for advice!

Hope you have a great day!

    • I know! I bought a few plants for $.75 each at Lowes weeks ago, even though everyone told me it was too early to put them out I did! Thanks for the pic complement, my camera is AMAZING and I am having a great time learning how to use it.
