Last day of COMMENT COMMIT!

Thank you for joining me for 14 days of committing (publicly!) to daily workouts and encouraging each other to stick with exercise through the holidaze.

We yoga’d our way into Christmas Eve, sledded down Christmas Day, kept walking during that odd week between the 25th and the 31st, and Exercise TV’d into the New Year!!!!

Yeah, we pretty much rocked our way into 2011.

Let’s do one more comment commit for good measure.

Today I will

  • walk
  • strength train
  • yoga

I am still a little under the weather but I think this amount of exercise will be perfect.

And YOU?  What’s your workout plan today?  There’s nothing like a little public obligation to get you moving!

P.S If you haven’t participated in Comment Commit yet, it’s super simple.  Write a comment with your exercise goals for today and then come back this evening and brag about your accomplishments!

  1. I’ve wanted to participate this whole time but this is the first time I’ve read the post in the morning rather than at night!
My fitness plan for today is to do some strength training, at least 20 minutes.

  2. I’m going to WALK too!!!

    Emailing you now..

  3. I plan to go for a 45-minute walk and do some strength exercises at home! I like your comment commit idea but haven’t participated before (and today’s the last day!). You inspired me to write my weekly commitments on my blog here: http://newlywedindc.blogspot.com/2011/01/weekly-commit.html Thanks for the inspiration!

    My first time too 😀
Turbo Fire 45 min Fire Class and 10 min Stretch Class as per my workout schedule. I am aching and I can’t wait for my Wednesday rest day but there is nothing like the sense of accomplishment I feel and tick on my to-do-list after I’m done.
Good Luck to you all 🙂

    • Yay for ticking off the to-do list!
I know that feeling of looking forward to your rest day, for the most part I LOVE that feeling.
      Have a great workout!

It was long, hard and sweaty and I was sore before I had even finished! Today I start Week 3 of my 20 week TF Challenge and I am completely committed. In need of rest or not I am enjoying my exercise more then ever.
Faith you are so inspirational with the way you fit movement into each and every day..on a train to China or not!
        Love it 🙂

        • Thank you Talitha! It’s been a journey this year to realize that I exercise because of what it does for my mood, self-image, digestion, appetite, stress-levels, and (very, very lastly) the calorie burn. Does that make sense? I used to think I was exercising for the calorie expenditure (among other things) but this left me just a little bit heavy and just a little bit obsessed with exercise. I am still obsessed with exercise but only because it is the thing that makes everything else more enjoyable (for the above reasons). That’s a bit of a tangent…sorry!
I love hearing that you are workout out hard and LOVING it!

Hey! I’ve loved the comment commit, but haven’t been able to commit to much of a workout for the last week. Between sciatic nerve pain and the holiday rush-rush, I’ve made most of my GOOD CHOICES about food and booze. Well, at least the food part!!! However, today I’m going to swim and workout in water for an hour. If my body feels ready for some cardio, I’d love to do some of that, too. And, no booze!!!!
Have a great day, productive people!!!!

Since I’m trying to get back into a routine, hopefully this will get me going! My plan is 30 min. cardio (run, walk or bike) plus kettlebell workout. Happy New Year!

I am going to go for a walk and strength train. (and move the Christmas boxes back to the cellar)

That is exactly how I feel. I use to dance (like you) and I always thought that if it wasn’t dancing then I wasn’t interested but the high I get from performing is also partially from the movement itself and I can apparently get that from all sorts of exercise. This is a bit of a late discovery on my part but who cares! I plan on having a much more active life 🙂
