Lemonade

When life gives you lemons…

While I would certainly prefer the circumstances of my last-minute trip down to South Florida be different, I am making the most of it.  My grandparents live in a beautiful community and they just put in a new fitness facility.  It opened last week!  I love the decorating and everything is state-of-the-art.

My grandma attends aerobics class every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday so when I am here I go too.  The instructor is really fun, she has great energy and pushes these women HARD!

The class was a good workout but the gym was just too beautiful to pass up.

I LOVE the design of windows on three sides!

I used this new, high-tech machine which is basically a souped-up elliptical.  It had a very detailed monitor.

While I am working out here my grandfather is busy at the rehab center working hard with his physical therapist.  We head over around noon to spend the afternoon with him.

We got great news yesterday, he is right on track with his recovery and will be home on Monday morning!  He went to the doctor 4 weeks ago after having some difficulty breathing and hasn’t returned home since.  My grandparents have been married 66 years and certainly haven’t spent this many nights apart in a very long time. 

I have been eating lots of yummy fish since arriving here.  For a couple of months fish kind of turned me off so I am glad to renew my love for it, especially salmon!  I think its time for a sushi date…any C’ville sushi recommendations?

Better rest up for aerobics in the morning!

Lettuce Spray

Sheesh.  I’ve been awake for over an hour and a half and haven’t gotten out of bed yet!  Here’s why…

Special delivery from my amazing husband!  The most romantic acts EVER are those that are provoked straight from the heart, not due to a birthday or other obligation.

But alas, the coffee is long gone and it is time to get moving!  I mean really moving, I want to run, strength train, and practice yoga today but I can’t decide what order.  My entire workout will probably be just over an hour, 20 minutes strength, 20 minutes yoga, 35 minutes run?  Something like that.

Are you working out today?  What is your FAVORITE exercise these days?  For me I think it’s yoga.  Which is fitting, with my MISSION: 5 for 5 yoga in it’s 3rd week.

Time to seize this gorgeous day.  I will leave you with this to ponder
